Hydrotherapy
Hydrotherapy is the delivery of exercise in warm water used to treat chronic conditions and maintain health. It’s a great alternative to weight bearing exercise for those who suffer from joint pain, poor mobility and low cardiovascular fitness.
Hydrotherapy is available as a 1-1 session as well as in groups. View the group sessions times available by viewing our timetable. Please note that an initial consultation is required before starting hydrotherapy sessions.
Exercising in 32-34 degree water plays a vital role in providing the benefits of hydrotherapy, in comparison to colder water. The heated water acts as a vasodilator, which means it causes the blood vessels to dilate, improving circulation. This process helps muscles relax and generally move through a larger range of motion, reducing pain and improving overall movement.
